On March 14, our first incumbent PTL project office opened at Sundsvall Timrå Airport.

- "Opening the office is an important milestone for us. We are now in place and work on the establishment of our first battery component factory in Europe is entering more intensive phases," said Dr. Yu Han, European Director of PTL.

PTL plans to eventually staff the office with around 30 people, some of whom will be recruited locally.

- We can now work even more closely together to ensure that the establishment is successful," said Christian Söderberg, CEO of Torsboda Industrial Park.

Dr. Yu Han also spoke to the media about the progress of their work on the establishment:

- PTL has received approval for its investment in Torsboda, the Overseas Direct Investment (ODI) process is complete.

- PTL is in the process of setting up a Swedish limited liability company.

- PTL's goal is to submit an environmental permit application to the Land and Environment Court shortly.

- PTL has submitted a notification to the Swedish authority ISP, the Inspectorate for Strategic Products, under the Foreign Direct Investment Review Act.

- We are working on the schedule that we will start groundwork in 2024 and that our factory will be in production in 2025," Dr. Yu Han said at the office opening.

About fifty interested people listened and asked questions in Sundsvall

Expectations, fears, questions and concerns were addressed when PTL, Sundsvall Municipality and Torsboda Industrial Park held an open meeting in the City Hall on Tuesday evening.

MittSverige Vatten & Avfall and Peab are in full swing with phase one of the major project to expand the water supply network from Bergeforsen, via Midlanda to Torsboda and Söråker.

Welcome to meet PTL, the municipalities and Torsboda Industrial Park

Together with us and the municipalities of Timrå, Sundsvall and Härnösand, our first entrant PTL invites you to open meetings on 20, 21 and 22 May. PTL will inform you about their environmental permit application and the measures they are planning to minimize environmental impact. Representatives from the municipalities will also be on hand to talk about their work linked to the investment in Torsboda Industrial Park and CEO Christian Söderberg will give a progress report.

2023 in summary

The annual report for Torsboda Industrial Park 2023 is now available. 2023 was the year when the company signed its first contract with a customer.

Torsboda and Sweden to one of the world's largest battery fairs

The work to get more establishments to Torsboda Industrial Park continues. Together with Business Sweden, CEO Christian Söderberg and Chairman Stefan Dalin will be attending a major international trade fair for the battery industry in ChongQing, China, next week.
